10-Cents, 1858-1901 (Victoria)
Coins weigh 2.33 grams with a diameter of 18.034 mm and have a composition of .925 silver, .075 copper. The first ten cent coins for the Dominion of Canada were issued in 1870 with the design being identical to that of the one used by the Province of Canada in 1858. Six obverse varieties were used differed primarily in the features on the face of the Queen.
